There
are three options for residents to properly dispose of toxics in Sonoma
County: the Household
Toxics Facility, Community
Toxics Collections and Toxics Rover Pick up Service. Options are also
available for businesses.
Have your toxics picked up at your home. Services are provided on a first-come-first-serve basis. Each Wednesday the Toxic Rover serves a different region of Sonoma County. Allow several weeks’ advance notice.
| Appointment: | By appointment only. To make an appointment, call (707) 795-2025/toll-free (877) 747-1870 option 4 or email toxicsdisposal@cleanharbors.com. Appointment line staffed M-F from 8am to 2:30pm or leave a message. Please provide the following information when sending an e-mail: the name of the resident, property address, phone number, specifics about the property (i.e. locked gates, dogs, etc.) and an inventory of items to be picked up from the home. If requesting a free pickup, provide the age of the senior or specify that the resident is housebound. |
| Hours: | Wednesdays, limited appointments available. |
| Fees: | $50/pickup (limit 440 pounds). Limited free pickup available for seniors over 80 years of age and housebound residents. Please note that fees may change without notice. |
| Not accepted: | Explosives or ammunition • Radioactive materials • Biological wastes (except syringes) • Electronics • Controlled substances |
