Thank you for choosing to recycle at your special event! Whether you are planning a festival, fund-raising event, wedding, conference, party, etc.there are many good reasons to recycle:
  1. Recycling is beneficial to the environment as it saves natural resources and energy
  2. Present a positive environmental image to special event attendees who regularly recycle at home and at work.
  3. Reduce landfilled waste and help Sonoma County meet state mandated 50% waste diversion goals.
For events planners, promoters, caterers, food vendors and exhibitors. You may be relying on the venue to provide recycling. If information about recycling is not provided. ASK!
  1. What materials are recycled?
  2. Are labeled recycling containers available for visitors? For vendors and exhibitors? For attendees?
  3. If the facility or venue does not offer recycling, then set it up yourself.
