for construction of Sonoma County Waste Management Agency
Central Disposal Site Household Hazardous Waste Facility Expansion

Bids due on November 12, 2009 by 2:00 p.m.

There will be a walk-through assembled at 500 Mecham Road, Petaluma, at 10:00 A.M. on October 28, 2009 to review the project site and answer questions of potential bidders.

The Agency’s estimate of the project construction cost is Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000). The successful bidder must possess a State of California B license at the time of Contract award and through completion of the project. The requirement for the Contractor to additionally possess a Hazardous Substance Removal Certification, as stated in the Notice to Bidders, is not required and shall be addressed in the upcoming Addendum.

Sonoma County Waste Management Agency agreements with Sonoma Compost Company Sonoma Compost Company is under contract with the Agency to operate the municipal yard debris composting program and wood waste diversion program.
Final Supplemental Program Environmental Impact Report
The Sonoma County Waste Management Agency (SCWMA) has prepared a Final Supplemental Program Environmental Impact Report (SPEIR) for the 2009 Amendments to the Sonoma Countywide Integrated Waste Management Plan (CoIWMP). The Final SPEIR responds to comments raised from the Draft SPEIR.
