Nursery pots-1 to 15 gallon containers.

Do not include Rinse plastic milk jugs to avoid odors
Remove plastic caps, dispose in garbage
No photos or film
No styrofoam such as takeout containers or meat trays

How to prepare: Remove receipts and food from plastic bags. Only clean and dry bags can be recycled.
Bag your bags. Stuff clean plastic bags into a clear plastic bag.

Contact your service provider for specific yard debris instructions and for the pickup schedule for your area.

No meat, cooking oil and liquid waste, bones, dairy and cheese
No plastic bags
No poison oak, cactus, palm fronds or bamboo
No dirt or rocks
No animal waste
No tree stumps
No other refuse


Household electronics (Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol and the unincorporated area)
What is accepted
Household electronic devices not larger than 2 feet in any dimension such as printers, telephones, calculators, VCRs, camcorders, stereos, fax machines, answering machines, cell phones, radios, hair dryers, curling irons, toasters, blenders, etc.

Do not include
Remove batteries prior to recycling.
Remove cords.
No TVs, computer monitors or other electronic devices with screens.

Textiles (Petaluma only)
What is accepted
Cotton, linen, polyester, rayon and wool fabrics such as blankets, clothes and rags.

How to prepare:
Bundles inside a plastic bag and knot the top. Buttons and zippers can stay on clothing.

Not accepted:
Soiled material
Footware
Carpet
Rubber
Vinyl
Disposable diapers
Down-filled items
Leather
Nylon
Stuffed animals

Household batteries (Windsor only).
What is accepted
Household batteries (AAA, AA, C, D 9-volt)

How to prepare:
Pick up special yellow battery collection bags at Windsor Town Hall, Windsor Public Works Department or Windsor Refuse and Recycling office in Santa Rosa.
Place batteries in bag and seal firmly.
Place bag on top of blue recycling cart for pick up.

Motor oil recycling (Cloverdale, Cotati, Healdsburg, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sonoma and the unincorporated area)
  1. Call your hauler to request service.
  2. When you set up the program, ask your hauler if an appointment is necessary for pickup.
  3. Place motor oil and filter containers visibly at the curb on your scheduled recycling day.
Do not include:
Do not contaminate motor oil­­no water, antifreeze, brake fluid, engine cleaner, fuel, etc.
Do not place motor oil and filter containers with other recyclables.
